Search my posts all the way back to April 2003
The search is a little quirky, so being creative helps.
For example, a search for slumber party night will find ANY ONE of the words, while "slumber party night" (in quotes) will only find the exact phrase and I don't always use the complete phrase and sometimes I abbreviate it to SPN.
Therefore, a search for slumber spn with no quotes should find every post that mentions our little ritual.

twitter feature wish – linkable tweet collections
just a quick thought here, but it was too long for a tweet.
anyway, I want to be able to select tweets for a group (like the lists feature for people) and then twitter assigns a link to a page with all/only those tweets. for instance, when we went to balloon fiesta – a timeline of . . . → Read More: twitter feature wish – linkable tweet collections

first impressions of my new Gaggia Classic
So, I opened it last night and set it up. There has been much debate about whether to go ahead and open it or wait until Christmas morning. The final deciding factor is that, much as it seems to surprise people, this is my first REAL espresso machine and I have firmly believed it . . . → Read More: first impressions of my new Gaggia Classic

Microsoft MyPhone irreparably messed up my phone (?)
I’m not positive but nothing has been the same since I installed it.
My phone is a Motorola Moto Q9c from Alltel, which means I just now got switched to Verizon. I don’t know enough about phones and networks to know if that would have anything to do with it.
I installed Microsoft’s MyPhone, which is an . . . → Read More: Microsoft MyPhone irreparably messed up my phone (?)

extracts and such instead of syrups on my coffee bar
see, even though my coffee bar is built around budget equipment so i can’t make perfect espresso, i still make better stuff than most coffee shops… better beans, better water, better ice, and much less sugar… when the main ingredients are good, you don’t have to mask the flavor :)
anyway, i stock a dozen . . . → Read More: extracts and such instead of syrups on my coffee bar

flickr’d photos: billy
By christopher, on September 3rd, 2008
billy was my closest friend back home… he helped lead the addiction recovery ministry when i came to the church with only a couple weeks clean time and was a huge help to me… as time went by, we became not only close friends but partners in both that ministry as well as working with the homeless…
billy is known as a bit of a cartoon character come to life – lively and a little eccentric, definitely someone you remember after only having spent a few minutes with him… he is outgoing and talkative, making friends where ever he goes – always the one talking to new people at church or even just in line at wal-mart, he is incapable of keeping to himself…
one day, a year or so ago, he came over for coffee and we hung out on my balcony and talked and i snapped a hundred or more pics… these are my favorite three…
firstly, here is a glimpse at his more upbeat, whimsical side as we had a good time…
but, we also discussed serious issues…
and, this one is just billy to me… i don’t think i could have a better picture of him – this is the man i know and love… always a smile, but i know how much is under there and i see all of it here… this one is framed in my bedroom…
when i showed these to billy and his wife, tara, billy made the comment (on more than one of them) that he had never seen that side of himself before… that is the biggest compliment a person can give me when i shoot them… because to me it says that i did it right – that they are seeing them the way i see them… that i managed to capture what i saw… and that’s what it is all about to me – why i love photography so much… you can see something or someone so many times, but then someone with the gift can photograph it and you can see it in a way you never have, even if you had stood at that same spot or seen the same moment… or you can see, frozen in time, something you HAVE seen before, so many times, but it was always fleeting and an artist knows just when to snap that shutter to catch what can be missed in a blink…
the ART is first to see and then to be able to capture what you see…
i am still trying to learn both :P

ya’ know… the usual stuff...

If you want to know what's going on in my life, reading my Twitter timeline will keep you updated on the day-to-day stuff (and, yeah, I'm on Facebook).
If you want to see what's going on in my life, I regularly post pics and videos from my phone to my Flickr photostream and my YouTube channel, respectively.
(I have reluctantly given up on Zannel for fear of them folding like so many other social media services recently, but I still have countless pics and vids there. And I think my Dashwire and TwitPic days are over.)
I love photography and I also use Flickr to show off my photographs and snapshots, though I don't update it often enough, but here's my personal faves I've taken and here's my faves I WISH I took.
Wakoopa knows all about what desktop software i use, Del.icio.us is where I keep all my favorite bookmarks, and I am always adding interesting news/blog items I've read to my Google Reader shared items.
Mom, Terra, Wesley, and I share a Netflix profile so you can see what kind of stuff we watch. And yes, I own about 350 LaserDiscs and they are all listed on my LDDb collection page.
I don't listen to much music but I go through phases when I look to Last.fm and/or Pandora to try to satisfy my needs.
Btw, people complain because I never use my MySpace and I usually don't even remember I have an account on StumbleUpon and I haven't gone to my LiveJournal in years.
I also own insidiousplots.com,
jesusfreakgeek.com, abqdiscgolf.com, nmdiscgolf.com, and baristopher.com.
Aaaand, for years, everything else kind of ends up in the old stuff directory.

Once again my dearest friend, looking at these pictures gives me hope again of who I am and what I used to look like. I not only forgot what you look like. I forgot what I looked like. I thank the lORD JESUS CHRIST for your gifts that a so unique and awesome. Right now I needed to see me again. Thank you Christopher. God uses you in a mighty mighty way to help His children have hope when it seems hopeless. Keep on doing what your doing.
P.S. I cant wait to see you and hug you. BILLY
