10:35am Just passed the 24 hour mark since the internet went out… 2:09pm Terra and i are outside, making some major changes to the back patio… If all goes according to plan, it’s gonna be sweet… 3:32pm Well, THAT was a chore, but it’s much better… The whole frame thingy that is supposed to hold a canopy was a huge job to break down… 3:33pm But we still want to paint or replace the table out there… Will post a pic after we figure that out… 5:14pm Internet still out but the message at tech support now mentions something about their problems with Qwest Communications… 5:34pm After many tests with Handbrake i am very disappointed - the video quality is bad, the files huge.. And the interface is dumb-proof - for simplicity, i dont think ive seen better… 4:34pm The way i do dvd-to-psp is rip the dvd, convert vob to avi, then avi to mp4 - that’s 3 separate progs, but FormatFactory is all-in-one… 5:24pm Staring at that red light on my router… Wishing it was green… 5:28pm My holy grail would be a prog that would make a file with psp-compatible multiple audio streams so movies could have commentaries, etc…. 6:05pm Trying Handbrake for dvd-to-psp - ive had it a long time and dont remember why i didnt like it.. It, uh, does seem to support multi-audio.. 6:38pm UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Handbrake made a dvd rip and the final vid has two audio tracks - the soundtrack, hit a button, and it’s the commentary! 6:40pm And the conversion took like 20 minutes!! And i have had this prog for months!! 10:31pm It may be the fastest loyalty turnaround in my life ever, but Handbrake is incredible!!! 12:28pm gorgeous day outside, a little breezy but not chilly… Not exactly the way i envision xmas eve… But, we’ll be in all day, lotsta do… 12:31pm All month, our xmas soundtrack has largely been a box of tapes of stuff ive recorded off the radio - it was my xmas tradition for many years 12:34pm includes traditional & contemporary music, novelty songs, old radio shows, and even commercials, news and such - radio time capsules, kinda 12:37pm The tapes span 1996 to 2003, when i just stopped doing for no intentional reason… But, they are treasures now :) (need to digitize them) 12:41pm The rest of the time has been filled by various xmas internet stations (via PSP hooked into the sound system) and pandora.com (via PS3!)… 12:56pm Plans include a living-room-to-living-room video conference present opening via the ps3 (what CAN’T it do?) so mom gets to see her grandkids 12:57pm And via netflix, we have A Christmas Story on blu-ray and It’s A Wonderful Life (which terra has never seen!)… Two undeniable classics… 1:00pm Oops, forgot to specify, the lr-to-lr video link is to my brother’s family’s living room… It’ll be like all opening presents together :) 1:07pm @racquelmorris then let me say MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours, without reservation or exception, from this bible-thumpin’ jesus freak! :P 1:18pm I guess i’m at about 15 twitterers in the alamogordo area that i know of… (btw twuzzer.com, is how i find twitterers by locale…) 1:44pm Uuunnnggghhh… Terra brought home those damn cinnamon melts from McD’s - DOUBLE orders!
