Lifestream for February 18th, 2011

Finally watching Withnail & I in HD, thanks to Netflix streaming :) One of my fave movies ever, never seen it anything but lousy quality.
Posted @ABQChristopher I used to play tradewars and galactic warzone. I’d rush home to use my moves. I can see the color text now..
Posted @ABQChristopher oh I remember that BBS..
@don_rivers You remember Twilight Zone??? (Firstly, I guess I didn’t know/forgot you were here then.) Same age – how did we never meet??
@don_rivers Though, I didn’t really have any computer geek friends. I was on a TI, incompatible with everyone :P
Posted @ABQChristopher did you go to Alamagordo HS? I was class of 93. Back then, class of 92 were ancient elders to me. And I was going to the….
Posted @ABQChristopher …middle school in 10th grade (just before it closed) so I probably didn’t run into you unless you were in band..
Posted @ABQChristopher maybe. Maybe not. I remember one guy’s bbs, can’t remember his name, and there was an amiga bbs in town too..
@don_rivers Ah, we were a year or two apart. And I went to a private high school, so yeah, I guess we just barely missed each other.
@don_rivers Ah yes, the bad old days of zero compatibility but as I recall TI was an underdog and least similar to anything (besides Amiga).
@don_rivers Erm, I mean, the Amiga’ers were as bad off as the TI’ers. Seemed most casual micro owners had a C64 – nobody had a TI.
Posted @ABQChristopher New Horizons (where MDC is now) was big on Amiga. I had 4 friends w/Amiga, 2 w/PC, 1 w/an old Kaypro.

@don_rivers I vaguely remember something like TBAG. Tularosa Basin Amiga Group? I guess they’d have to leave out "User" to force the acronym
