It does not mean I un-say a single thing about the effed up politics leading to its making, BUT, Toy Story 3 was VERY worthy – we loved it!

Well, my Pioneer Elite CLD-97 won’t spin a disc and neither will my beloved Yamaha CDV-W901, grrr. Gonna try the Pioneer CLD-D503 (yuck).

The 503 works but colors are typical Pioneer LaserDisc player pastel and no digital audio output. The Yamaha 901 is a superior 503 clone.

Well, the 503 won’t flip the disc. And sometimes won’t open the tray. Great. I am now out of working laserdisc players.

Aaand, I just carelessly fried one of the dual-coil cartomizers we recently got. Not my day.

I am pizzissed about the LD players.

Btw this whole laserdisc player thing was partially to start capturing some of the ultra-rare stuff onto dvd. But also "because it’s there".

So, now I’m in a kitten-stomping kind of mood. You’ve been warned.

I still own 361 LaserDiscs http://www.lddb.com/account/?user=insidious_plots but probably only 20 very rare or otherwise treasured by me.

Incl. Pi, every US WS Star Wars release, Criterion Boogie Nights signed by dir., and LE box sets like E.T., Dances with Wolves. #laserdisc

The LD of The Matrix is unique in that it has the theatrical tinting – other formats got a heightened green in scenes within The Matrix.

They asked Terra to go in at 4(am), she did. Now they ask her to stay until 4 (she’s usually 6a-2p), she is. Being a nurse can suck.
